Since 2012, New Pathways To Enterprise has provided livelihood training programs and business start-up support to hundreds of women in the Philippines, for endeavours ranging from the creative arts, macramé, crochet and weaving, to baking, hog-raising and food production.
I joined the organisation as a volunteer in 2016 and have become part of the family ever since! Having worked directly with various communities of women on the ground, I have witnessed how entrepreneurship provided them the agency to become economically and socially empowered.
Our community of food entrepreneurs in Samar Island have been growing vegetables and raising "green" chickens in the last couple of years, and have given them tremendous joy and economic benefits. Now, they hope to expand their business to meet the growing demand for affordable, nutritious and locally produced food by baking traditional breads to complement the healthy produce grown on their farm.
With your help, New Pathways can provide comprehensive training and start-up support for these entrepreneurs to open KASAMA (United) Bakery & Marketplace. Just a small donation will go a long way in helping me meet my goal to support New Pathways.
